The French Press, a rustic ballad in coffee brewing, begins with coarsely ground beans steeped in hot water. A patient wait, a gentle press, and the immersion culminates in a brew that resonates with robust melodies. The full-bodied verses, liberated from filters, tell a tale of depth and warmth. The French Press, a poetic immersion in simplicity, delivers a rich, unfiltered narrative—a coffee symphony that echoes the heartiness of the process.
Grind coffee beans to a medium consistency, resembling beach sand.
Rinse the French Press with the boiling water to bring it to temperature. This way, temperature shocks will not occur when the coffee starts brewing.
Add the desired amount of coffee into the French Press. The recommended ratio is 1:13 (coffee to water).
Pour water until topping the coffee (about 15% of total), stir and let it sit to pre-infuse for 30 seconds.
Pour the remaining water into the Chamber slowly. Place the lid and plunge until barely touching the water. Let it sit for 3 minutes.
Plunge slowly so the coffee beans are not disturbed. Serve and enjoy!
Tip: If you want a bolder brew, let it sit for more time. Also, if you have a scale, do weigh every step.
