Description

The AeroPress, a caffeinated sonnet in simplicity, starts with finely ground coffee and a twist of experimentation. Inverted or traditional, the method is an artful pour of hot water, creating a dynamic immersion. A brief steep, a press, and the magic unfolds. The result is a concentrated verse of boldness and depth, a poetic sip that speaks volumes in the compact simplicity of an AeroPress.

  1. Heat Water

    Bring water to 195-205°F (90-96°C). If you don't have a way to measure temperature, bring water to a boil and let it cool for about a minute to reach ideal temperature.

  2. Grind Coffee

    Grind 18g of coffee beans to a fine to medium-fine consistency, resembling table salt. If you press the ground coffee between your fingers and it leaves a stain, you've gone too far.

  3. Assemble the Aeropress

    Place a paper filter into the filter cap and rinse it with hot water to remove any paper taste. Attach the filter cap to the camber and place it on a sturdy cup.

  4. Add coffee and water
    Add the desired amount of coffee into the chamber. The recommended ratio is 1:16 (coffee to water).
  5. Pre-infusion

    Pour water until topping the coffee (about 15% of total), stir and let it sit to pre-infuse for 30 seconds.

  6. Pour remaining water

    Pour the remaining water into the Chamber.

  7. Steep and Press

    Allow the coffee to steep for about 2-3 minutes, adjust based on how strong you want your coffee - the more it sits, the stronger it gets. Attach the plunger and steadily press into the cup. Enjoy!
